Visitors flock to Florida’s Gulf Islands by air, land or sea. Sarasota Bradenton International Airport and Tampa International Airport provide daily domestic and international service. If you’re within a day’s drive, the destination is just 40 miles south of Tampa and 15 miles north of Sarasota, accessible from I-75 or Highway 41 from the north or south. A scenic drive can be enjoyed from St. Petersburg on I-275 across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge, and several taxi, limousine and shuttle services provide ground transportation. The Twin Dolphin Marina in downtown Bradenton is the perfect home for maritime lovers, offering 225 slips. Any way you travel, just keep heading west from all directions and you’ll reach the water. Once you arrive, take comfort in convenient transportation on the Manatee County Area Transit buses or the free Manatee Trolley that runs the length of Anna Maria Island.

Tampa International Airport (TPA) is 40 miles north of the Bradenton Area and is served by most major airline carriers and rental car companies.

Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) is located on the border of North Sarasota & South Bradenton. Visit the Airport web site at www.srq-airport.com.

For more travel information, consult your local travel agency. When in the area visit the Bradenton Area Tourist Information Kiosk located just off I-75, travel east off exit 224 (old exit 43) and it is located in Prime Outlets. Look for directional signs. (Closed on Christmas, Thanksgiving, & New Years Day.)
