Snooty™ is the world’s most recognized manatee. Snooty the manatee was born at the Miami Aquarium and joined the South Florida Museum in 1949 as Baby Snoots. Snooty™ enjoys his home at the South Florida Aquarium in his 60,000 gallon pool which includes deep and shallow areas for Snooty™ to enjoy. Every year Snooty the manatee is joined by visitors to celebrate his birthday at a free festival that includes contests and treats for the kiddos. Snooty™ is actually the first manatee to have a recorded birth date making this day a very special one at the South Florida Museum.
