May 8, 2007

MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (May 8, 2007) – In May, New York-based the knot released their annual Best of Weddings 2007 issue. Bradenton’s Crosley Estate and Anna Maria’s Sandbar Restaurant were recognized with listings as ‘Best of Reception Sites’ in Florida by approximately 25,000 newlyweds nationwide. Featuring stunning waterfront views and beautiful scenery, the Sandbar and Crosley Estate are popular favorites for weddings and receptions, hosting more than 150 couples every year.

"To have these two locations make the list is quite an honor," said Larry White, executive director, Bradenton Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. "Clearly the readers of the magazine share our enthusiasm for the gracious hospitality, laid-back lifestyle and beautiful scenery we all love here on the islands."

The Crosley Estate provides unparalleled splendor for any brides’ important day. Built by the famed entrepreneur Powel Crosley, the 1920's era estate offers a commanding view of Sarasota Bay, and features the graceful styling and architecture of a bygone era. The mansion affords several enchanting ceremony and reception sites, along with full catering services. The Sandbar Restaurant entertains guests along the sandy white shores of the Gulf of Mexico and plays host to festive surfside weddings throughout the year. From onsite catering to event setup and vendor recommendations, the Sandbar provides the ultimate convenience for any destination wedding.
